All that components were useful only to support Firing Mechanism of Projectiles. While Projectiles is a part of projectiles system, operated according to Kinematics and Hydrodynamics gasses. Construction of Cartridge consists of:

When the trigger is pressed, the hammer will be drawn backward. The spring, which is planted in the handle of pistol, will push hammer forward, and hit the Primer.
The blow had caused gunpowder to explode and create a high pressure gas in the projectile. This high pressure gas, which forced Bullet thrown from the shell and shot through the barrel of the gun.
Although it looks simple, but required a very high accuracy in assembling the weapon. Just a little mistake can be fatal.
